Rules & Elections

  1. Clear goals set to meet during the school year.
  2. Fundraising has a clear purpose and must be known to all parents.
  3. Projects are divided proportionally: professional development, education, recreational activities, and improvements on MIB facilities for the benefit of our students.
  4. A monthly meeting is conducted to follow up on the objectives of the organization of the various activities.
  5. PTO members are responsible for the administration, organization, execution and conclusion of each PTO sponsored-event.
  6. All families must volunteer a minimum of 10 hours during the school year.
  7. A parent’s directory is available at the front-office for communication and collaboration efforts. (Parents can opt-out of this directory)
  8. All parents and teachers of MIB are encouraged to vote during PTO board elections each year.

Criteria for PTO Board:

  • Willing to commit to the board for the next 2 years. 
  • Team Player who will happily cooperate with other board members
  • Understands that his/her duty will cover all the programs MIB provides (Toddler to Elementary communities)
  • Because of his/her love, understanding and support of the Montessori pedagogy. The member should be someone who has demonstrated respect and professionalism in dealing with MIB staff, families and students. (Being mindful of his/her actions in spite of differences that may occur).
